This Japanese Grant Aid project involved comprehensive MEP systems for maternal and child healthcare facility expansion at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Jamshoro, Sindh. The installation supported enhanced healthcare services for women and children in the region, contributing to public health infrastructure in rural Sindh.
The electrical systems included supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 630kVA transformer, 450kVA diesel generator with 2000-liter fuel tank for reliable backup power, and complete LT panels and distribution boards ensuring stable electrical infrastructure in Sindh’s challenging power environment.
Mechanical installations encompassed complete plumbing piping and fixture work throughout the facility, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Naffco 500 GPM fire fighting pump with comprehensive piping network, wastewater treatment plant for proper hospital effluent management, and slow sand water purification plant ensuring safe, potable water supply—critical given Jamshoro’s water quality challenges.
HVAC systems featured supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 120 Daikin air conditioning units providing reliable climate control in Sindh’s extreme temperatures, installation and commissioning of Panasonic and Mitsubishi supply and exhaust duct fans for proper ventilation and infection control, and 7,000 sq.ft of spiral and rectangular ductwork for comprehensive air distribution throughout the maternal and child health facility.
Medical gas systems included installation of scroll-type air compressor machine for contamination-free medical air, vacuum station with control panel for surgical and patient care suction, bed head medical modules providing patient-side access to medical gases and utilities, shut-off valves for system safety, and complete supply, installation, testing and commissioning of medical gas piping networks meeting international ISO standards for healthcare facilities.
This project case study demonstrates PECT Private Limited’s three decades of engineering excellence delivering world-class healthcare MEP systems in Pakistan’s most challenging environments through effective partnership with international contractors and unwavering commitment to patient safety and healthcare access.
