PECT delivered comprehensive MEP systems for the intensive care expansion at PIMS Children’s Hospital, a PKR 529.3 million project executed in partnership with Sanyo Engineering. This critical healthcare infrastructure installation significantly enhanced pediatric critical care capacity for Pakistan’s capital region and northern areas.

The electrical systems included supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 1250kVA transformer, 450kVA diesel generator with 2000-liter fuel tank, 160kVA AVR, LT panels and distribution boards, addressable fire alarm system, public address system, nurse call system, comprehensive earthing and medical earthing systems for patient safety, and lightning arrestor protection.

Mechanical installations encompassed complete plumbing piping and fixture work, installation, testing and commissioning of hot water and steam boilers, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Naffco 500 GPM fire fighting pump including complete piping network, wastewater treatment plant, and slow sand water purification plant ensuring safe water supply.

HVAC systems included supply, installation, testing and commissioning of air handling units (AHU) with HMI controls, ceiling cassette and split air conditioners throughout ICU areas, exhaust duct fans for proper ventilation, and comprehensive ductwork installation including 25,000 sq.ft of spiral and rectangular ducts for air distribution.

Medical gas systems featured installation of scroll-type air compressor machine for medical air supply, vacuum station with control panel for suction applications, bed head medical modules providing patient-side access to gases and utilities, shut-off valves for safety, and complete supply, installation, testing and commissioning of medical gas piping networks meeting international healthcare standards. The facility’s life-safety systems and redundant infrastructure ensure uninterrupted critical care operations.
